Candace Birchfield

Candace draws on her 30 plus years of studying and loving to work with clay to guide and inspire students to create exciting new projects and refine “tried and true” methods. She began her adventures in clay by learning how to throw on the wheel.“ I was hooked, completely enthralled! I made my own potter’s wheel, read everything Clay, studied with experts, and tried every ceramic method I could”. Hand building has also become a regular practice as well as animal sculptures and making masks. Candace is committed to passing on her enthusiasm and expertise to anyone who wants to work with clay
